Abandoned Uranium Mines on the Navajo Nation - Infographic + Animation
This project was part research, part design, and part animation project which became a labor of love since it encouraged me to explore my identity and history.
For the initial poster I chose to create something that looked like it was from the 1800's, I'm a big fan of woodcut graphics and I utilized some of those style techniques. I wanted to keep things 'hand-made' where I could and used a ballpoint pen for the images and vectorized them in the final design.
For the animation, it was all about building the assets in Illustrator and Audition, then moving them to After Effects and Premiere Pro.

I tapped a local musician to score the animation and it all came out pretty well!
